Her father is a choral conductor as well. She studied piano, flute, violin, and singing as a child. She studied flute and directing at the Stanislav Liudkevych Music School in Lviv from 1992 to 1996.

She directed her first orchestra at the age of 16, and this experience sparked her passion for directing.

She studied conducting at the Lysenko music college in Lviv from 1996 to 2003, where her lecturers were Bogdan Dashak.

During her training, Lyniv worked as an assistant conductor to Myron Yusypovych at Lviv Opera.
