Which Harry Potter character did Helen McCrory play?

McCrory portrayed Narcissa Malfoy – the wife of Lucius Malfoy and mother of Draco – in the final three Harry Potter movies.

The actresses character was apart of Lord Voldemort’s Death Eaters.

In Deathly Hallows, Narcissa’s home is being used as the Headquarters for Voldemort and his Death Eaters and for confining several prisoners, which eventually includes, Harry, Ron and Hermione.

During the final showdown between Harry and Voldemort, the Dark Lord “kills” Harry with his signature spell Avada Kedavra.

Narcissa is ordered to verify Harry’s death, however, when she feels Harry’s heart beating, she quietly asks him whether Draco is still alive at Hogwarts, a fact that Harry confirms.

Knowing that she will not be free to search for her son unless she can return with the Death Eaters as part of a “conquering army”, Narcissa lies to Voldemort and declares Harry to be dead.

“She died as she lived. Fearlessly. God we loved her and know how lucky we are to have had her in our lives. She blazed so brightly. Go now, Little One, into the air, and thank you.”

The couple have two children together – daughter Manon born in September 2006 and son Gulliver, who was born in November 2007.
