PAUL Cattermole should be able to tell us whether S Club 7 will ever get back together – he has a new career as a psychic.
The Reach singer has spent the past few years mastering tarot cards and now reckons he has what it takes to see into the future after finishing his education with a week-long course.
After perfecting his abilities he will be telling fortunes on a premium phone line in one of the most unlikely career moves in pop history, charging £39.95 for a 20-minute reading.
In a description of his skills on the website Ask The Answer, he wrote: “I have an abundance of experience and know- ledge to share with you from my days in pop band S Club 7 to my present role as a spiritual psychic where my reputation over the years has earned me the title of Psychic Detective.
“I have a keen interest in getting to the root and cause of any problem as an Intuitive Paranormal Investigator.”
Though oddly, what he didn’t anticipate was his success in recently taking on the extra training.
He added of the Spiritual Studio training course: “I wasn’t expecting to be so bad.
“I broke through a glass ceiling, which I didn’t expect to be able to do. I didn’t even see it coming.”
On the website he claims to be a psychic, clairvoyant and spirit coach, as well as a tarot card reader.
The move comes three years after he admitted he was “skint” and selling his 2002 Brit Award for Best Single on eBay.
He said at the time: “I don’t want the other members to think that I’m dissing the band by selling it, but there are bills to pay.”
He has since turned down opportunities to reunite with the group which made him famous.
And he is not the only one.
His former bandmate Tina Barrett told this month how Rachel Stevens — currently a contestant on TV’s Dancing On Ice — Hannah Spearrit and Bradley McIntosh wanted the band to get back together, but that Jo O’Meara, Jon Lee and Paul weren’t as keen.
Go on Paul, give us a reading and let me know if another S Club Party is on the cards . . .
RYLAN’S LOST HIS BULGING NEW BODY
RYLAN CLARK has revealed he had only stepped foot in his home gym once before embarking on his body transformation.
And maybe he needs another visit, as he says he’s lost all of his muscles since doing the remarkable photoshoot at the end of last year.
The Radio 2 host shared photos earlier this month of his buff new physique but admitted of his new body: “I’ve lost it all since Christmas.”
He told how he had become very underweight for his 6ft 4in frame before getting into shape with his workouts, following a difficult 2021 which saw him split from his husband of six years Dan Neal and take a career break.
He told The Hundamental Guide To Life podcast: “I had a bit of a dodgy year last year. Then the next thing I knew I was 9st and I was like, ‘Oh s***, this ain’t good’.
“So I was like, I’ve got a gym and I’ve only ever been in there once for a Lucozade, so I might as well start using it.
KANYE BELIEVE THIS OUTFIT?
IF these pictures from Paris Fashion Week are anything to go by, I clearly don’t know the first thing about style.
A raft of showbiz glitterati have descended on the French capital wearing some absolutely wacky outfits in a bid to be the most talked-about names in town.
At the top of the list is Kanye West, who wore leathers and a full balaclava alongside his new girlfriend, actress Julia Fox, who looked like she had done her make-up ready for a Halloween party.
They were on their way to yesterday’s Schiaparelli show, which Pixie Lott was also a guest at but in a far more understated and flattering black trouser suit.
New couple Kanye and Julia were out in even more peculiar gear the previous night, with Julia in a red latex dress and clashing silver boots and gloves while the rapper wore creepy contact lenses.
Liam Gallagher’s son Lennon walked for the Kenzo show on Sunday but looked to me like he had dressed up to audition for a role in Oliver Twist.
Even his dad’s outfits are better than that.
AJ, TOM IN BAFTA GIG
STRICTLY Come Dancing’s AJ Odudu and comedian Tom Allen will announce the nominations for this year’s EE Baftas next week.
They will also herald the nominees’ arrival at the red-carpet event on March 13, hobnobbing with the A-listers as they arrive at the Royal Albert Hall.
Tom joked of the streamed event: “I am so excited to be on the red carpet.
“In fact, I’m excited to be on any carpet, as we have laminate flooring in our house.
“We’re going to have so much fun bringing the glamour and excitement of the arriving nominees to everyone watching around the world.”
KEEP FAITH, WE HAVE A (EURO)VISION
THE expert team choosing our entry for the Eurovision Song Contest have teased that “both new and more established” artists have put themselves forward for the job.
James Newman finished last in 2021, with nul points, but TaP Music – the management gurus behind Dua Lipa, Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Rey and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – have insisted things look far more promising for this year after they got on board to help choose an act and song.
Talent chief Ben Mawson said: “We’re getting really close to making our final decision, we have lots of options and have been pleasantly surprised by how many wonderful artists, both new and more established, want to be part of this process with us.
“Like us, they recognise that Eurovision is the biggest music TV opportunity in the world.
“When we decide on the act, we will put an incredible team around them. We look forward to sharing news shortly.”
The deadline for entrants to be announced for the contest, taking place on May 14 in Turin, Italy, is March 10. So there isn’t long to wait to find out who it will be.
Big names in the business are turning into cheerleaders for the act too.
Little Mix singer turned solo artist Leigh-Anne said: “I love the fact my managers are involved in finding this year’s act. They will choose someone who will make the UK proud.
“European fans have always given Little Mix so much love, so I’m calling on all Mixers to get behind the UK at Eurovision this year.”
HAILEY’S LIFE IS A BEACH
PREGNANCY rumours have been swirling round Hailey Bieber ever since husband Justin revealed he is eager to start a family.
Hailey shared the beach snap from a mystery tropical location.
Justin might want to cut his holiday short and get back to the studio, though, after The Weeknd dethroned him as the reigning Prince of Pop.
The Blinding Lights singer has become the artist with the most monthly listeners on Spotify, clocking 85.6million pairs of ears to knock Justin off the No1 spot.
But given Justin still has 81.8million people listening to his music on the streaming service each month, I don’t think he has anything to worry about regarding his ridiculous income.
HEAD TO MO’S BRITS PARTY
MO GILLIGAN is already suited and booted with a fortnight to go until he hosts the Brit Awards.
The comedian and Masked Singer judge, seen here with the design of this year’s award, said: “I was so shocked to be asked to host the Brits.
“I’ve grown up with them, so you don’t think that one day you’ll be a part of it.
“Honestly, it feels like a huge honour.”
Liam Gallagher and Doja Cat are among the acts who will take to the stage on the night and Mo said they are pulling out all the stops to make it a show to remember.
He added: “We’re working really hard to make this a really special show.
“After such a tough few years everyone needs some joy at the moment.
“I want it to feel like I’m hosting a party, and I want everyone at home to feel like they’ve been at the party.”
