After 50-50 tackles in Thomas Party ‘fierce’ training with Arsenal youth Tim Aquino

Arsenal star Thomas Part reportedly became furious after being clutched by young Tom Aquino in training.

Ghanaian Gunners have been plagued by injuries since joining Atletico Madrid in 2020.

He most recently missed four games earlier this term due to an ankle injury sustained against Chelsea in pre-season.

So when eager Akinola flew into a 50-50 tackle with Partey in training, the 28-year-old was less than enthused.

Football. London claims that he initially reacted angrily towards the youngster, who was participating in first-team practice.

But he later softened towards the former Huddersfield academy midfielder, even offering up a few kind words.

Partey is claime to have told Akinola that he is the ‘strongest’ player he would played with.

The 20-year-old joined the Gunners after being released by Huddersfield in 2020.

He signed a two-year deal, which is set to expire at the end of this season.

Akinola has been a regular for Arsenal’s Under-23s in the PL2 this term.

He most recently featured against Plymouth Argyle in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night.

The tough-tackling starlet played the full 90 minutes as the young Gunners drew 1-1 with the League One leaders at Home Park.

Akinola is known for his incredible speed, having reportedly clocked a remarkable 10.4 second time in a 100-meter sprint.

A powerful, skillful central midfielder, Thomas gave several stand-out performances during his debut season.

Soon after arriving from Atletico Madrid just before the transfer deadline, the Ghanaian was making his mark in the Premier
League – being named Man of the Match in the 1-0 win at Old Trafford.

A combative ball-winner with the ability to dominate games, Thomas lifted the Europa League and European Super Cup and also played in the 2016 Champions League final for his previous club. During five stellar seasons in the Spanish capital, he earned a reputation as one of the league’s outstanding players.

Midfielder Thomas Party has changed his name

In March of this year, Party announced he had become a Muslim due to his Moroccan girlfriend Sara Bella, and he recently told Ghanaian journalist Nana Aba.

He also says he grew up with Muslims around him. A picture of him in London with a Sheikh and holding the Quran, the scripture of Islam, began to do the rounds on social media.

And now it’s emerged that Party and Bella have tied the knot, while he has also changed his name as part of devoting himself to his faith.
“I’m already married and my Muslim name is Yakubu,” Party said, as per eldesmarque.

Yakubu, the same name as a former Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, Everton, and Blackburn, is a form of the name Jacob and a West African transliteration.

Jacob is the name of Partey’s father. Since arriving at Arsenal, he has played with his first name on the back of his shirt as opposed to his surname.

After signing for the Gunners, he said on Arsenal’s official website that he saw parties everywhere.
