Reports of Tiktok being down occurred on Friday, November 12 at around 9am EST.

The site Downdetector, which tracks apps and websites’ statuses, reported TikTok users were having issues with the For You page and network connections.

Many users then took to Twitter to discuss TikTok’s problems.

“Anyone else’s tik tok broken in class?” a tweet read.

“tiktok is down, how can i start my day now,” a social media user wrote.

“tiktok is down and im stressing,” a tweet stated.

How do I know if my TikTok account is down?

Users have been reporting multiple technical issues with the app.

Some of the issues being reported are:

  • Messages are not sending
  • Not being able to share videos in the app
  • Not being able to log in
  • App crashing all together

What is TikTok?

TikTok, one of the world’s most downloaded phone app, first launched in the United States in 2018.

The social media app allows, which users to create and share video clips with music and camera effects, was founded by the entrepreneur Zhang Yiming.

It is owned by Beijing-based ByteDance.
