BURGER DEAL McDonald’s UK menu prices explained: How much does it cost to eat at the fast food restaurant?

B

McDonald’s is the fast food chain of choice for millions of people, but do you know how much each of your menu favourites cost?

Maccies is the perfect place to grab a bite on a budget, with snacks and deals starting from under 99p – and the chain runs popular promos regularly too.

What’s on the McDonald’s menu and what are the prices?

McDonald’s menu is the same across the UK – stock and ice cream machines permitting – but its prices differ.

In central London, a Big Mac will set you back £3.59 or £5.29 as a meal, but in Slough the same items cost £3.29 and £4.69, respectively.

We’ve listed the prices as the ones on Slough High Street, the cheapest McDonald’s we can find, but they may be higher at your local restaurant.

The crispy McFillet burger is the newest addition chicken item added to menus just last month.

It costs £4.19 individually, or £5.59 as part of a medium meal.

We taste tested the new addition and found that it trumped the KFC Zinger burger.

Six chicken nuggets cost from £3.29 while nine are £3.59 and a share box of 20 is £4.19, according to the McDonald’s app.

You will only need 99p for a small portion of fries, £1.19 for a medium, and £1.49 for a large box.

Children’s favourite, the Happy Meal, costs £1.99.

The McDonald’s wrap of the day goes for £1.99 alone or and £3.49 as a large meal.

On Mondays it’s the Spicy Veggie One or Sweet Chilli Chicken, on Tuesdays it’s the BBQ Bacon & Chicken One.

On Wednesdays the Sweet Chilli Chicken makes an appearance, and Thursdays have the BBQ Bacon & Chicken One or Spicy Veggie One.

On Friday, McDonald’s sells the Sweet Chilli Chicken One for £1.99, on Saturdays the BBQ & Bacon Chicken One, and Sundays the Sweet Chilli Chicken One.

Other wraps sold at Maccies include the Garlic Mayo.

Earlier this year, McDonald’s brought back the popular Big Tasty burger – and it added an extra twist – and more recently the McSpicy made a return.

The McSpicy first landed on menus last year but only for a limited time – and now it’s back.

It features a spicy chicken breast fillet topped with crunchy lettuce and mayo in a toasted sesame-seed bun.

If you want a touch of spice in your life, the burger will cost you £4.29, or you can get it as part of a medium extra value meal with chips and a drink for £5.79.

Other recent menu additions include the Grand Big Mac, Grand Big Mac with bacon, cheesy garlic bites and Flake raspberry & Flake chocolate McFlurry.

Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy standard McFlurry flavours for just 99p – these include Smarties, Oreo, Malteasers and Dairy Milk options.

If you fancy the same delicious treat but smaller, you can buy a mini McFlurry for 79p.

What are the McDonald’s promotion prices?

The fast-food chain regularly updates its menu, usually every six weeks.

Last month, Maccies announced 30 days of deals for its customers who download its app and play games.

Offers include 20% off the entire menu, and it is slashing the cost of popular items like the Big Mac to just 99p on certain days.

Another great way to save is if you download and use the MyMcdonald’s app where you can get a 20% discount on your first order.

The app also features the MyMcdonald’s rewards programme where after your fifth coffee, you can claim a sixth for free.

By using the app you can collect points on each order and later redeem them for rewards in a number of selected restaurants.

Other promotional items McDonald’s fans cannot wait to see again are the mozzarella dippers and the Chicken BBQ Smokehouse burger.

What time does McDonald’s lunch menu start and what time does it finish?

While the timetable might vary depending on the restaurant generally most Maccies start serving lunch at 11am.

That’s when the restaurants stop serving breakfast so it would be your last chance to grab a breakfast McMuffin or hash browns.

McDonald’s continues serving its lunch menu throughout the day until closing time.

From next week McDonald’s is adding five menu items back to its store nationwide – but to make room, it’s axing seven current items – find out which ones.
