Coalisland: Main Street fire being treated as arson

A fire that closed part of Main Street in Coalisland on Tuesday is being treated as arson, police said.

The Northern Ireland Fire Rescue Service (NIFRS) said they received a report of a fire in the area at about 14:20 BST on Tuesday.

Police said it was at an unused premises, but an elderly man was treated for smoke inhalation after an adjoining flat was evacuated.

The PSNI said the fire is being treated as deliberate.
