About the International Program Fund (IPF)
The United Kingdom International Software Foundation (IPF) was launched in 2015 as a responsive, agile fund to support the strategic goals of the External Cooperation and Development Office (FCDO). The IPF supports adaptive, short-term projects that also have an impact on local policy, creating networks that open up opportunities for further engagement, and diplomacy.
Projects must qualify as Formal Development Assistance (ODA). ODA is a term coined by the Development Assistance Committee of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. ODA programs have as their primary goal the promotion of economic development and prosperity, while ensuring gender equality, inclusion and compliance with the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
