Nick Watt is a Los Angeles, California based reporter for CNN who was previously a news program producer and correspondent at ABC News for 20 years.

Nick was also a travel show host for a season of Watts World on the Travel Channel.

Nick is also a voice actor and he voices Zito The Elephant in The Lion Guard.

Nick is from Jedburgh, Scotland. He graduated from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland with a Master’s degree in Modern History with a focus on post-war U.S. foreign policy.

Nick began his career as a reporter for the Southampton Press newspaper from 1995 until 1997.

He has also for ABC News for 20 years as a news program producer and correspondent. He was also a travel show host for a season of Watts World on the Travel Channel.

Beginning 1997, he worked at ABC’s London bureau as a desk assistant and tape librarian and spent 15 years there covering news in Iraq, Afghanistan, Russia, Liberia, and the Middle East.

In 2012, he moved to Los Angeles with ABC News to cover the entertainment industry. Nick was also a correspondent on Good Morning America and Nightline

Watts World

In 2015, Nick hosted the short-lived Travel Channel show. During its one and only season, Nick visited locations including Cuba, Italy, and L.A.

He also visited Venice Beach, Hamptons area of Scotland, Dominica, Mount Shasta, Albania, Denver in Colorado, Alaska, and Portland.

CNN

Nick is a CNN national correspondent based in Los Angeles. He most recently reported on the Napa fires, Mexican drug cartels, the Trump inauguration, gun laws, the flu, and the Winter Olympics.

He has also covered the Oscars, Golden Globes and Emmy awards.

Prior to moving to Los Angeles in 2012, he was based in London and also reported extensively from Afghanistan and Iraq.

Nick Watt Awards

Won has won two Emmy Awards. One award for his reporting from Fallujah, Iraq in 2004, and the other as a producer for work in Darfur, Sudan.
