Koady Chaisson was a member of The East Pointers, a contemporary folk music group from Prince Edward Island.

Additionally, they perform Celtic-influenced original songs and instrumentals with contemporary influences. The three-man band won the Juno Award for Traditional Roots Album of the Year for their album Secret Victory at the Juno Awards of 2017.

Chaisson played banjo and tenor guitar for the group, which included vocalist and fiddler Tim Chaisson and guitarist and keyboardist Jake Charron. Further, he died on January 7, 2022. The group’s management confirmed his death to CBC News on Friday morning.
