BritaxRu00f6mer has today issued a voluntary recall of its Dualfix car seat over safety concerns. Anyone with an affected seat should stop using it immediately.
Only models made between 3 November 2017 and 22 March 2018 are being recalled. Britax Ru00f6mer says that the component identified has only been used on the Dualfix, not on any other Britax Ru00f6mer car seats.
The problem was identified during routine tests and the company has not received any reports of incidents relating to the issue.

What to do if you have a BritaxRu00f6mer Dualfix
Each Britax Ru00f6mer seat has a unique serial number. If you’ve bought a Dualfix since November 2017,enter the serial number into the checker tool on the Britax Ru00f6mer website to confirm whether it is affected:www.dualfix-check.com
To find the serial number, you’ll need to:
- lift up the headrest to the highest position;
- pull up the flap between the shoulder pads to reveal the plastic underneath;
- open the two buttons on the cover below the belt (one on the left and right) and pull down to reveal more of the seat shell.
If you have a model of the BritaxRu00f6mer Dualfix with the fault, you’ll need to enter your details into the Britax Ru00f6mer website to get a new model directly from Britax Ru00f6mer, free of charge.
