Tickets sold out in less than two minutes for the 2022 ProCon Leicestershire property and construction awards, which are now live and seeking entries.

ProCon individual and company members snapped up the available tickets the morning they went on sale. More than 600 people will attend the 19th ceremony on November 10 at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium.

A limited number of tickets have been held back for businesses that want to sponsor one of the eight awards categories.

Entries close on July 6 for the awards which include residential and non-residential projects plus categories for infrastructure, regeneration and the best property deal.

The 2022 ProCon Awards are already backed by three corporate sponsors – Freeths, Salus Approved Inspectors and Unique Window Systems. The Leicester Mercury is the media partner.

Paul Meadows, director at Hinckley-headquartered building control, fire engineering and fire safety consultancy Salus Approved Inspectors, said: “Salus are proud to have been involved with the ProCon Awards for nearly two decades and by far it is the best attended property and construction awards event in the region.

“The calibre of entries is always first class, setting industry leading standards.”

Mukesh Patel, Leicester office managing partner at Freeths, said: “Freeths are delighted to be a corporate sponsor for the 2022 ProCon Leicestershire Awards.

“We are particularly proud of our strength and expertise within the property and construction market and welcome the opportunity to support this long-standing celebration of the built environment.”

Sunil Patel, director at Leicester-based window and door fabricators Unique Window Systems, said: “Unique Window Systems is delighted to continue its long-standing support of the Leicestershire ProCon Awards.

“The construction industry across Leicestershire is constantly delivering innovative and high-quality projects that are shaping the region’s built environment, and we look forward to the awards ceremony where we will have the opportunity to celebrate the individuals and companies who are constructing these excellent developments.”

ProCon chair Umesh Desai, who is estates and facilities director at De Montfort University, said: “Selling all the available tickets in under two minutes is a superb endorsement of the ProCon Awards.

“It proves how valued they are and that a seat at our ceremony really is the hottest ticket in town. Thank you to all our members who were so quick to show their support.

“Entries are now open and I hope everyone in property and construction in Leicestershire and Rutland – members and non-members – tell us which projects they think deserve to be in contention.

“And great thanks are due to our wonderful sponsors whose support enables the ProCon Awards to be such a great celebration of our industry’s achievements.”

Details of the awards and the categories are on the ProCon website at: procon-leicestershire.co.uk/procon-awards.

Companies still keen to attend the ceremony are welcome to join a reserve list. To do so, or to enquire about sponsorship opportunities, contact Allyson Jeffrey on 0116 278 1443 or via email: info@procon-leicestershire.co.uk.
