Kane Mitchell was found guilty of the murder of 11-week-old Teddie.
In a “violent” attack, he pitilessly smashed the baby’s head.
The jury heard how Teddie had been neglected and mistreated for weeks at the hands of Kane Mitchell, who wasn’t his real father.
After the infant, Teddie went unresponsive and was transported to the hospital on November 1, 2019, after the medical staff’s best efforts, he died 11 days later.
As per Judge Mr. Justice Knowles, Mitchell allegedly squeezed Teddie with such force that he cracked the boy’s ribs and collar bone.
He further claimed that Mr. Mitchell “violently struck Teddie’s head against a hard or unyielding surface” during the assault.

Teddie was injured in a “catalog” of ways, including being “gripped firmly,” “shaken aggressively,” and “having his skull smashed against a hard surface.”
Mitchell was living in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, with the boy’s mother, Lucci Smith, at the time.
On January 14, 2021, he was convicted of murder after a jury determined that he was the one who caused the fatal injuries.
According to Cambridge Crown Court, Mitchell and Smith had been together for eight months and had lived together with their baby Teddie.
Furthermore, Mitchell claimed to be Teddie’s biological father in a police interview, but DNA tests after his death revealed that Liam Gibb was Teddie’s biological father.
