What is YouTuber Crainer’s real name?

Benjamin Dreyer Vestergård was born in Denmark, on 12 December 1994 – his zodiac sign is Sagittarius and he holds Danish nationality. He is a YouTuber and a social media star who might be best known for his “Minecraft” videos, under the name Crainer.

Childhood and education

Crainer was raised alongside his older sister Josefine in Denmark, by their father who was a lawyer, and their mother who was an accountant.

The family had more than enough money, and Crainer usually spent his winter and summer holidays in other countries such as England, Croatia and Italy.

He became interested in playing video games at a very early age, and during the final years at his elementary school, he and his peers spent nearly all of their free time playing games together on their computers. Crainer attended a local high school, where he was interested in playing soccer, but the high schools in Denmark didn’t have a school league back then and he eventually decided to entirely focus on his career as a gamer – after matriculation in 2012, Crainer didn’t enroll at a college.

How he gained fame

Crainer launched his YouTube channel on 22 February 2014, and has since gathered over 6.5 million subscribers, while the channel today counts more than 1.6 billion views of all his videos combined.

Crainer uploads two videos every day, and has played numerous games, while he is currently focused on playing “Among Us”. His two currently most popular videos are “THIS IS CHOCOLATE?!” which has been watched nearly 10 million times since 24 January 2017, and “*NEW* Trick Or Treat Gamemode in Fortnite Battle Royale!”, which has been viewed over 8.6 million times since 13 October 2018.

According to controversies surrounding his success on YouTube, Crainer has only managed to become popular on YouTube thanks to his former friend Lanceypooh (Lancey), who was once a famous YouTuber.

Lancey had numerous followers on the Twitch live-streaming network, and after Crainer asked him to collaborate as he wanted to become popular as well, Lancey decided to give him a chance. However, Crainer broke up with his girlfriend not long afterwards, started using steroids, and told Lancey he needed some time off. Lancey then launched his YouTube channel and gathered many subscribers, and after Crainer noticed this, he contacted Lancey once again claiming he was a changed man, and wanting to collaborate with him once again. Lancey built a gamer house in New Orleans, and invited Crainer to live with him free of charge. After becoming comfortable, Crainer asked if his then-girlfriend Sophie could come and live with them, and Lancey paid for Sophie’s plane ticket from Denmark.

At that time, Lancey was collaborating with an unnamed YouTuber, and after they got into a fight, Crainer used the opportunity to secretly record Lancey while he was talking about and insulting the YouTuber in question – after flying back home to Denmark as his visa had expired, Crainer blocked Lancey on every social media network, and he himself started collaborating with the unnamed YouTuber. Lancey steadily lost subscribers and the ability to earn money on YouTube, and has urged people not to trust Crainer, claiming how he is a bad person who would do anything for money and fame.

Past and present YouTube series about Minecraft

Crainer has many inactive series which are waiting for him to get back to them.

One of these is “Mission: Moon Butt”, in which he uses the GalactiCraft Minecraft Mod to build a butt on the moon. Another one of his popular but inactive series, “Test Pack, Please Ignore!” features him building a base and trying to survive for as long as he can. Crainer is perhaps best known for his series “Crazy Craft”, which is about becoming as powerful as possible and fighting the three final bosses simultaneously. A couple of Crainer’s other inactive series are “Troll Craft”, “Sky Factory 4” and “Rage Mode”.

He is currently focused on three of his video series. “Lucky Blocks 2” features Crainer playing against SSundee and random viewers, while his series “Pranks” is about pranks pulled in Minecraft.

His third series “Cowtown” features Crainer, Slogoman and Jelly, as they fight each other, trying to destroy their houses.

Other social media networks

Crainer is also active on Instagram, and is followed by nearly 400,000 people, while he’s uploaded around 950 pictures. He is no longer active on his Twitter account, which only counts around 250 people following him. On Facebook, Crainer is followed by more than 32,000 people, and by over 270,000 on TikTok, gathering nearly 900,000 likes of all his pictures and videos combined.

He is also active on Twitch, and his channel entitled “MisterCrainer” counts over 27,000 followers – Crainer prefers to upload videos on YouTube over live-streaming on Twitch.

Love life and girlfriend

Crainer broke up with his girlfriend Sophie not long after he returned to Denmark, and it’s believed by some people that he was only using her to become more popular on the internet. He went on to date a non-celebrity girl, Fie, who has occasionally been seen featured in some of his videos before their break-up – Fie was pregnant at the time of their split, but according to rumors, she cheated on Crainer with another man who is also the father of the child.

Crainer went on to date Thea Kornum, a Danish YouTube star born on 22 April 1998 under the zodiac sign Taurus – the two were running their YouTube channel “Thea & Crainer – Minecraft” together, but it has since been renamed to “Thea Gaming” for unknown reasons.

On 22 June 2019, Thea and Crainer married in a private ceremony attended by their closest friends and family.

As of October 2020, Crainer is married to Thea, and it appears that they have agreed not to have children, so as to focus on their careers.

Fears, hobbies and other interests

Crainer has an irrational fear of clowns but doesn’t remember how exactly he developed this phobia – he believes it was during one of his earliest birthday parties.

Crainer is a lover of dogs, and has a pet dog Bobby which can be seen featured in some of his pictures on Instagram.

His wife has urged him to travel with her on numerous occasions, but Crainer rarely agrees to go out of his country, because he is dedicated to his YouTube channel and is trying his best to upload two videos onto his channel each day, just as he has promised his fans.

He is physically very active, and has his own private gym where he works out several times every week, thus his fit body – he is also following a strict diet, and most of the things he eats are prepared by his wife.

Late at night, Crainer likes to watch comedy movies, and his favorite actor and actress are Jim Carrey and Meg Ryan, while a few of his favorite movies are “You’ve Got Mail”, “Liar Liar” and “Bruce Almighty”.

Age and net worth

Crainer’s age is 25. He has short brown hair and green eyes, his height is 5ft 10ins (1.78m) and he weighs around 160lbs (73kgs).
