XXXTENTACION was known as an American rapper, singer, and songwriter, who often went by the nickname X.

In 2018, he tragically passed away in Deerfield Beach, Florida, and fans are curious to know about his cause of death.

How did XXXTentacion die?

At the time of his death, XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, was only 20 years old.

It was reported on June 18, 2018, that he had passed away after he was approached by two armed suspects in what police say was a possible robbery.

X was reportedly shopping for motorcycles in South Florida and was leaving a dealership at the time.

He was taken to the hospital around 1:35pm local time after he was shot multiple times, where he later died.

Was anyone arrested in XXXTentacion’s death?

A month after X’s passing, four men were charged with first-degree murder with a firearm and armed robbery in connection to his death.

The men were identified as Dedrick Williams, Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome, and Robert Allen, all of whom were in their early 20s at the time of X’s death.

Shortly after the rapper’s death, his sister Ariana Onfroy told The Sun that she believed the murder was an “inside job.”

“There’s somebody on the inside that knew where he was going to be and the exact time he was leaving for the murderers to know when to come and to do what they did. It definitely was set up,” she said.

The alleged killers have since pleaded not guilty to the charges against them and are being held at the Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Fort Lauderdale while they await trial.

What are XXXTentacion’s biggest songs?

Despite not being able to release any new music, X’s legacy continues to live on.

Some of his most popular songs include SAD!, BAD!, and Moonlight.

In February 2022, it was revealed that XXXTentacion’s album “?” had passed Drake’s 2018 album “Scorpion” as the most-streamed hip-hop album on Spotify.
