Tech solutions specialist Razor has announced the opening of its new Leeds office, signalling a new phase of expansion.
The Sheffield company is recruiting eight new employees as part of the move into the West Yorkshire city. The company said its new office allows it to continue putting people at the centre of its business, by connecting the team through working spaces close to employees and clients.
Razor also announced the new appointment of Kevin McConnell as head of commercial, from his previous role as commercial director of a managed services provider. The company said his experience makes him well-placed to support Razor’s rapid rise.
He said: “I am excited to join a dynamic team of forward-thinking and highly experienced individuals, working to harmonise our customer’s relationships with tech and de-risk the future of their businesses.”
Razor CEO Jamie Hinton said a recruitment drive is under way for roles in a number of departments at the growing business, including business development, technology strategy, data scientists and engineering and front end development.
He said: “I’m super charged that we’re opening our second office – working remotely has its place, but if we want to continue delivering game-changing results we need to maintain our personal connections – seeing, inspiring, collaborating, challenging and bouncing ideas off each other, in-person. Nothing comes close to the real thing.”
Earlier this year the company, which was established in 2009, was named in the FT1000 for the very first time in its history. The list charts the 1,000 companies in Europe that have achieved the highest percentage growth in revenues between 2016 and 2019.
