PHONE HOME Samsung Galaxy Note 10 release date confirmed for August 23 – here’s everything we know so far

SAMSUNG finally revealed the release date for the Galaxy Note 10 and 10+ – and you can get a glimpse at the new smartphone.

The new blower will arrive at the end of August, landing just days before chief rival Apple unveils the rumoured iPhone 11.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 news – what is it?

Samsung’s Galaxy Note series is the company’s true “flagship” range of smartphones, with the top features.

Or at least it was, until this year’s foldable Galaxy Fold replaced it as the bleeding edge of Samsung smartphone design.

Still, the Note series offers pricier gadgets for customers who want more features than you’ll get from a Samsung Galaxy S10.

The Galaxy Note 10 and 10+ is the next entry to the line-up, but it still hasn’t been officially unveiled.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 release date – when is it out?

Samsung debuted the Galaxy Note 10 and 10+ on August 7 in New York at the annual Galaxy Unpacked event.

The device is already up for pre-order right now, and shipping starts on August 23.

That means the handsets will likely turn up in stores on the same date.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and 10+ design, specs and features – what’s new?

The smaller model will have a large 6.3-inch screen, which is down by 0.1 inches compared to 2018’s Galaxy Note 9.

And the Note 10+ will have an enormous 6.8-inch display – trumping the 6.5-inch screen on Apple’s iPhone XS Max.

Both devices feature Samsung’s revolutionary ‘Infinity O’ design with an edge to edge AMOLED display.

The phone will come in a range of colours including Aura Glow and Aura Black.

Aura Pink for the Note 10 will be available in select countries along with Aura White for the Note 10+.

Only the Glow and Black colours will be available in the UK.

The Note 10+ has a smart battery that will help you save charge even when you’re not trying to.

Samsung representatives told us that both phones would only need to charge for around 30 minutes to last for a full days worth of use.

Both phones are equipped with very large batteries: 3,500mAh for the Note 10 and 4,300mAh for the Note 10+.

They also claim the phone is the “most secure device” because all of its content will be encrypted.

Other interesting features include premium sound quality, Wireless PowerShare, an UltraSonic Fingerprint scanner and a pro grade camera.

Each device has a rear triple lens camera that takes very good photos.

Both devices come with 256GB of storage but there will also be a 512GB storage option for customers who opt for the Note 10+.

You will also now be able to convert notes directly to text on Microsoft Word and can pinch and zoom to create really detailed drawings.

As expected, the gadgets come equipped with Samsung’s popular S-Pen stylus for you to do all these things with.

This tucks into the device through a small hole in the bottom.

Samsung describes the S-Pen as a “magic wand for your smartphone” because it now supports air gestures.

This includes letting you take photos remotely, turning handwriting into text, and using it to change slides on a presentation.
